Posted in Social Media on 19th March 2020 12:00 am
With the rapid spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) causing major uncertainty around the world, planning for your business will be extremely challenging. Through these tough times, it can sometimes be difficult to see any light at the end of the tunnel. However, we are delighted to provide you with some good news!
Facebook has already launched its business resource hub in direct response to disruptions that have been caused by COVID-19, but they have also recently announced that they will be
creating a $100 million grant program.
If you haven’t already checked into the resource hub it includes:
Advice for immediate actions to take
A 30-page business resilience toolkit
A brief quick action guide
Facebook has initiated a grant scheme that has been created and aimed to financially support 30,000 small businesses that have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak in the 30 countries that they operate in.
We aren’t quite sure of all of the details yet, but we expect the $100M will be divided equally between the 30,000 grants meaning each business will be rewarded with a $3K grant in the form of either cash or ad credits – the details will be shared soon!
There are a number of ways in which this newly introduced program can help you, examples include:
Keep your workforce going strong
Help with your rent costs
Connect with more customers
Cover operational costs
Facebook has not started accepting applications for this grant scheme yet, however it will begin to take them in the coming weeks. So, in the meantime, we suggest that you sign up to receive updates and more information about when it becomes available here!
